      The benefits of treatment

In addition to feeling better physically, there are many other benefits to treating OHS with noninvasive ventilation (NIV).

      • The exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between the blood and the air in your lungs is improved1
      • There is less pressure put on the muscles that help you breathe2
      • There is a positive effect on your lung function3
      • Higher life expectancy compared to those with OHS that are not treated with NIV4
